In April of 2017 I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph the wedding of Brandon and Tanisha at Brik Venue in Fort Worth, Texas. Brandon, is my husband’s step-brother which made this wedding even more amazing than it already was going to be, because it was filled with family and love! I loved getting to photograph their wedding day, but also party the night away and dance with my super sweet hubs. š One of my favorite things about their wedding, was the reception. I’ve known Brandon and Tanisha for several years now, and I know they love music. Like, LOVE music! These two have been to many concerts over the years and have seen quite a few live performances by Ghostland Observatory. So cool!
So obviously, today’sĀ Bride Blog is featuring guest blogger Tanisha, and it’s all about making the most of your reception, and how to create the BEST party for your guests!I absolutely loved having a signature cocktail! For our guests that drink alcohol, they loved our choice of Moscow Mules, or in our case “Martin Mules” Ha! For those that didn’t drink, they still loved the idea of it. š
We heavily relied on our wedding coordinator Crystal (Elite Weddings & Events) to make everything during the reception transition easy. Everything went so smoothly, and if anything went wrong she handled it and I was oblivious to it. Haha! I think most venues have a liaison, so perhaps they even contribute in that aspect, as well.
Music!! Music is SUPER important and my husband Brandon is my little music guru! š We made sure to incorporate music that we love and play music that our guests would enjoy, too! We wanted to make sure they knew they could request songs, and even left a blank space on our RSVP cards so that our friends and family could make early requests so that our DJ would be prepared with the day of!
