Last year, I had the wonderful pleasure of photographing Ben and Alejandra’s wedding. This super sweet couple was referred to me by a close friend, and I couldn’t be happier that I got to document their day through my lens! It was a beautiful November day, and all the Fall colors were in full swing. The leaves outside of their church were the most colorful shade of yellow. Liza and I packed ourselves into the car, and ventured off the meet the couple and their families.
Their catholic ceremony was held at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, and boy was it gorgeously lit inside. The skylights and the tall windows in the sanctuary provided the perfect amount of light as the couple read their vows and were announced as husband and wife. You’ve heard that smiles are contagious, and Ben and Aly’s smiles from pure joy had me smiling all day long! Once these two love bird were hitched we got creative with flash, as I typically do 😉 and took a portrait inside the sanctuary before heading outside to meet the bridal party. Outside of the church the sky was giving us ridiculously cool cloud coverage, putting their portraits on a whole new level.
We finished up and made the quick drive to the bride’s aunt’s house, where the couples families were patiently awaiting the couples entrance. This quaint backyard reception was one of the best I have photographed. Alejandra’s family pulled out all the stops in making this reception absolutely gorgeous. Mission accomplished; it was! Bright, colorful flowers decorated the tables, and the cake was situated on a gold sequined table cloth surround by a plethora of desserts for their family to enjoy. It was a wonderful evening spent with mingling, laughter and plenty of dancing.
Ben and Alejandra, congrats again you two! It was a joy to be your photographer.
