I first met Yolanda, along with her dad while she was in town planning for her wedding. We met at the local Starbucks, and over coffee we chatted about her wedding plans as we got to know one another. Soon, she was off- back to home in Chicago to meet Jose.
As their wedding day approached, Yolanda and I planned out the timeline of the day together and you could hear the excitement in her voice. She had every detail planned, and honored the memory of her mom throughout the day. The bridal party got ready at her parent’s house, with a photo in memory of her mom near. The perfume she wore was one of her mom’s favorites. The church that the ceremony was held, was the Catholic church her parents attended and it meant so much to them to be marrying there. It was the start of a beautiful day.
Leaving the church officially as husband and wife, Yolanda, Jose and the rest of us all made our way to the historic Fort Worth Stockyards, riding on the also historic Molly the Trolley. 🙂 With the wedding party in tow, we laughed and partied along the way! The bride and groom were surprised with a cake topper from their family and friends, and it looked great on top of their cake from Sweet Memories Cakes + Catering! As their reception kicked off at Stockyards Station, the dance floor filled and the band began to play. I don’t remember the dance floor letting up for even a minute! These guests were here to party and celebrate the newly weds all night.
Congrats again you two! I’m so thrilled to have been a part of your day.
