“It was only a sunny smile,
and little it cost in the giving,
but like morning light it scattered the night
and made the day worth living.”
-F. Scott Fitzgerald
Timeless. Romantic. Nostalgic. The three most perfect words I would use to describe Jordan and Robby’s wedding day. It was like a beautiful classic movie come to life, with their love for theatre, acting and old classic movies I was excited for their wedding day. It was a gorgeous, sun-filled Thursday afternoon when I met Jordan and her bridal part at their apartment for some pre-ceremony getting ready photos. Jordan’s smile instantly lit up the room, as it always does and the excitement for her ceremony only grew with each passing minute.
We finally arrived at Winfrey Point in Dallas, Texas. A beautiful venue that overlooks White Rock Lake. Inside, the reception tables were adorned with old books, their most favorite literary quotes and antique bottles. My heart swooned with all of the vintage touches! As the bride arrived to the venue, we managed to squeeze in a first look just before their ceremony and the two of them were all smiles as they saw each for the first time. 🙂
Before their family and friends, Jordan and Robby expressed their love and devotion for one another. With Robby’s father officiating their ceremony, they each read their vows to one another and exchanged rings. At last, they kissed and officially became husband and wife. Now that they were married, it was time for the party to begin! A grand swing band performed during their reception, playing several favorites from the classic jazz-age of the 1920s and crooned a rendition of “Cheek to Cheek” by Frank Sinatra for the couple’s first dance as a married couple. Seriosuly, watching these two love birds throughout their wedding day was like watching that of two old Hollywood stars fall madly in love with one another.
Jordan and Robby, it was an absolute joy to photograph your love and I wish you all the best in New York.
Congrats again!
Jess
