Friends, it’s hard to believe we are already three months into this new year. Time flies when you’re having fun, as they say! March has kicked off our photography season, and so far has brought us several families and beautiful people we’ve had the opportunity to photograph.
One of those very families, that I get the joy to spend time with throughout the year and holidays is the Lunsford family. It was while our family was spending Christmas together when Amy mentioned she would love to have family photos done with their chickens. I immediately needed this to be reality! Just in case you were wondering, yes, adding chickens to your photo session is always a good idea. 🙂 If you’ve seen past sessions that I’ve blogged, you might have noticed that I’ve photographed in unique places. Well, adding chickens to a family session definitely counts as unique!
We met up on a cold, overcast day at Cedar Hill State Park in Dallas, Texas. Even though the sun stayed away, that didn’t keep us from having a great time and smiling along the way. When Amy and I were messaging each other, and figuring out the perfect location for their family session she mentioned old buildings and barns. I couldn’t have picked a better spot! This state park was the first one to come to mind, as it has several barn options with plenty of land and greenery.
Amy and Christopher, thank you for having me document your precious family!
Jessica
