Hey friends! It’s been a while since our last blog update, and I’m super excited to be sharing a TON of pretty photos with you today! Noelle + Jeneeth are two kind hearted, loving individuals and I absolutely adore them. We had the pleasure of flying up North, to the cooler temps and lakeside views of Michigan to photograph their wedding day, in addition to the traditional turmeric ceremony they had just days before they said, ‘I do.’
The Haldi ceremony is a traditional Indian wedding custom typically held the morning of the wedding, or a couple days before. It is a symbol of blessings where near and dear ones shower the soon-to-be married bride and groom with happiness and togetherness. This ceremony represents protection, prosperity, and new-beginnings. It has also been said to rid the couple of nervousness and purify the body.
I was SO honored to photograph this tradition, and to witness the love shared for this couple. Noelle + Jeneeth, thank you for choosing me to document your wedding story.
Stay tuned for their wedding to be blogged!
