Crystal and Mark’s intimate Fort Worth courthouse elopement in downtown was nothing short of magical. They chose leap day for their special day, adding a unique touch to an already special occasion. Crystal’s dress was an absolute showstopper—reminiscent of the 1920s with its vintage-inspired silhouette. She truly looked like a Hollywood starlet as she and Mark shared their vows in this historic courthouse, surrounded by the charm and elegance of downtown Fort Worth.
Though the weather brought rain, it only added to the atmosphere and didn’t stop us from capturing epic images. The rain can sometimes be a challenge, but it’s moments like these when hiring a photographer who knows how to work with off-camera flash really makes a difference. Natural light is beautiful, but when the clouds roll in or the sun sets, knowing how to manipulate light ensures your photos are breathtaking no matter the conditions. Crystal and Mark embraced the rainy day, and together we created some of my favorite images from this year.
Documenting Crystal and Mark’s love was such a joy—there was so much happiness and laughter shared between them, despite the rain. It was an honor to witness their connection, and I couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful couple to work with. Fort Worth courthouse elopements like theirs remind me why I love photographing weddings at the Tarrant County Courthouse, with its history and timeless architecture making every session feel so special. I’m grateful to have been a part of their leap day celebration!
