Friends, this past year was one of the best yet. I had set several goals for myself the year before, and I exceeded far past the expectation. My goal was to book more clients, to photograph more personal work for myself, and to truly become the artist I want to be. Check, check and check.
I’m proud to say that I’ve accomplished that and more. 2018 was filled with endless smiles and so much love, that it will make your heart melt from happiness! It was an amazing year that brought me to places both new and old. I traveled to the Salt Plains in Northern Oklahoma and photographed a couple’s session for my cousin and her husband, I ventured out to Austin for a Greatest Showman themed children’s shoot, and drove back down to Austin to photograph two of our dearest friends engagement session at Pedernales Falls State Park while climbing rocks and avoiding snakes. So many memories were made, and I crossed several destinations off my bucket list.
On top of all the traveling I made last year, several of my couples flew in from out of state to have their engagement sessions photographed in the great State of Texas. The first ever request to have an non-traditional engagement session was made, and we made magic inside of a Dave & Buster’s arcade. That session inspired one of my other couple’s, who requested we do their session at IKEA. I loved getting the chance to be creative inside of the unorthodox locations. 🙂
Thank you all for embracing my weirdness and trusting in my work. You made 2018 the best year yet.
Jess
